Most rank trackers work by scraping. A bot in some datacenter searches your keyword, notes what position you appeared in, and reports that number back to you. It's an estimate of an average of a personalised result, and it's the number the whole industry quotes.
We rebuilt rank tracking on a better source: your own Search Console.
Why this is different
Search Console reports the positions real searchers actually saw — averaged across every impression your site earned for that query, in that country, that week. No bot, no datacenter IP, no proxy for the truth. It is the truth, as measured by the search engine itself.
What you get
- Weekly positions per keyword, per country. US by default, and always a specific country — cross-country averages hide more than they show.
- History sparklines, so a two-position drop reads as noise or as a trend at a glance.
- An honest "not ranking yet" state until a keyword earns its first impressions, instead of a fabricated position 98.
The trade-off
This requires Search Console to be connected, and it only covers keywords your site has actually been shown for. A scraper will happily tell you where you rank for a keyword you have no business ranking for. We'd rather show you nothing than show you a number we made up.
It also costs us nothing to run, which is part of why the plans stay where they are.
